Winter No. 8

This painting is from my seasonal Winter Collection, in which I liken the human experience to nature's changing seasons. Winter is a time of quiet growth and transformation beneath the surface. It is a time of rejuvenation and intentional rest in preparation for the expansive season of spring.

With more burnout than ever before, this painting reminds the viewer that it is not only okay, but essential, to rest. Quiet seasons are vital for your growth and transformation throughout the cyclical nature of your life. This painting aims to reassure the viewer that rest is productive, both for nature and for us.

About the Collection:

There are seasons of our lives as human beings where we go through quiet transformations as nature does in the wintertime... This collection represents that.

The mark-making, bold brushstrokes, and neutral hues remind me of the quiet power of the wintertime. It's a transformative season-- even if the earth is under a blanket of snow, underneath it is growing and transforming.
