The Thoughts of Flowers

This painting sat with me for awhile, waiting for the right title to arrive. As I looked at this painting, I noticed it felt like flowers to me… but not the flowers themselves, but the essence of flowers.

I reflected on this realization, and then my mind wandered.
“I wonder what flowers think about? Are flowers in constant awe of their own beauty?
Are they afraid that they’re not blooming fast enough? Do they feel pain, or fear, or sadness, as their petals wither and fall?"

Flowers bring our lives such beauty, in both happy and sad times.
It's a wonder we've never thought about how they feel.
