How Does It Feel?

This original abstract painting is full of juicy brushstrokes. They wind around the canvas, like snakes... or like a whirlpool of emotions, swirling about.

I hadn't made a painting in awhile, and so this one felt so good to make. I felt at home in the thick paint, as it travelled across the canvas with the aid of my brush. I created it without thinking, just feeling & doing what felt good in the moment.

And after it was finished, my beloved asked me... "How does it feel?" 

Up until that point, I hadn't even thought about it. It felt like being back in something comfortable and familiar, something you've never felt apart from in the first place.
